UniMAP to improve on entrepreneurship course
KANGAR, Feb 10 (Bernama) — Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) will improve on its entrepreneurship course by creating a special module integrating theoretical and practical aspects of teaching and learning beginning from the September 2017 academic session.
Its vice-chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal, said this was in line with the Ministry of Education’s aspiration as contained in the Malaysian Education Blueprint (Higher Education) aimed at producing holistic, balanced and entrepreneurial graduates.
To achieve this goal, he said, steps were being taken to submit a proposal on the entrepreneurship coursework to the UniMAP senate within the next three months.
“More intensive and practical elements will be applied so that students will gain hands-on experience and develop their knowledge and practical skills in entrepreneurship,” he said when delivering his keynote address before 2,000 UniMAP staff and students at Dewan Ilmu, UniMAP Pauh Putra campus in Arau today.-BERNAMA
