KUCHING: Kuching Toastmasters Club will be holding its annual International Speech and Table Topics Contests on January 22, and all who are interested are invited to attend.

Contestants of the International Speech Contest will be delivering meticulously prepared speeches that promise to connect with the audience, while those of the Table Topics Contest will display their ability to think on their feet as they come up with impromptu speeches.

Their topic will only be revealed when the contestant steps onto the stage.

“Some of Kuching Toastmaster’s best and brightest will be speaking on the night, and it is an ideal time to come and witness the wide range of speaking abilities or to learn more about the art of public speaking, and how a public speaking club runs,” said the organiser in a press release on January 17.

The contests will be held at Harbour View Hotel, and registration will begin at 7.15pm. The door fee is RM22 inclusive of supper.
