Akzo Nobel Paints (Malaysia) Took Home Five Silvers at The Recent CICM Responsible Care Awards
Akzo Nobel Paints (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer of Dulux paints once again emerged as one of the winners at the annual CICM Responsible Care Awards 2015/2016 which took place on 2 December 2016. AkzoNobel took home a total of five silvers under the General Chemicals Category. The awards were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Seri Ong Ka Chuan, Second Minister for International Trade and Industry.
The Chemical Industries Council of Malaysia (CICM) who have been organizing the Responsible Care Awards since 2002 as a platform for companies and firms in the chemical industry to further ensure quality of performance and to embrace Responsible Care practices. There are three categories for Corporate Awards – Petrochemicals, Oleochemicals and General Chemicals. Each category is assessed on six codes of Management Practices. Under the General Chemicals category, AkzoNobel took home five Silvers in the Community Awareness and Emergency Response Code, Pollution Prevention Code, Process Safety Code, Employee Health and Safety Code as well as Product Stewardship Code.
