Over 2,000 people attended the show at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on Dec 3-4, showcasing 26 designers’ collection, dividing the runway into eight sessions over the two days.

Fashion designer, Mohd Syafeeq Mohd, who showcased the Beta Azee collection by Busana Azzahra Sdn Bhd, said he was grateful to be given the opportunity to showcase his talents.

“We have also been getting good feedback, therefore we are more than happy that our design is being well accepted by the audience.

As a new fashion designer in Malaysia, KLMFW is indeed a good platform for us designers to make a big step ahead to make our designs known by our foreign guests who attended the event,” he told reporters.

Boost Malaysia’s image

The event, held in conjunction with the Putrajaya International Islamic Arts & Culture Festival (PIIACUF) 2016 Glorious Textiles of The Islamic World, was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and Tourism Malaysia, to boost Malaysia’s image and open more economic opportunities for the country.

It was sponsored by Malaysia’s halal skincare brand, Cosmoderm, zip manufacturer; YKK, medical aesthetic centre KL Sky Skin Solutions, makeup brand Euphoria, production company Faridism, The Empire Service and Balloon Parties Supplies.

Moslema In Style says, since April 2016, it has promoted KLMFW 2016 through a series of international fashion tour in London, Istanbul, Moscow and will continue the world tour promotion in Manchester, Madrid, and Tokyo before it ends in Kuala Lumpur. -BERNAMA
