MyTOWN Shopping Centre to open February next year

MyTOWN Shopping Centre, jointly developed by Boustead Holdings Bhd. and Ikano Ptd. Ltd., recently announced its grand opening date to be on Feb 16 during its tenant engagement event.

Heavily focused on the customer experience, MyTOWN Shopping Centre had done extensive research on the ‘Customer Journey’ concept based on their previous experience and feedback collected from various stakeholders and customers.

“The design of the building, the tenants mix, the facilities and services are all carefully thought out to give the shoppers a ‘Customer Journey’ that will make them want to come back to MyTOWN again and again,” said Datuk Koo Hock Fee, Director of MyTOWN Shopping Centre.

Reiterating on the focus given to the customer experience, Joakim Hogsander, General Manager of MyTOWN Shopping Centre said, “The structured approach taken by the group in crafting the journey of visitors by identifying customers’ needs and eliminating pain points, which were then incorporated into the design flow”.

He added, “To create a more welcoming and relaxing ambience, our shopping centre is equipped with soundscapes compositions, which I can assure you that no other shopping centres in KL have done it before. Apart from having the biggest IKEA store in Malaysia as our anchor tenant, we pride ourselves on being a responsible company as we’re awarded with the status of Green building by the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED and Malaysian Green Building Index”.

 

Boasting of having over 400 stores in its capacity, the 1.1 million square feet net-lettable area shopping centre has the potential to reach over five million shoppers within a 30-minute drive, targeting footfall of two million on the first month of operation and 28 million footfalls for the whole year of 2017.
