Operation Sumatran Rhino fundraiser screening with Dr. Jane Goodall

The last three remaining Sumatran Rhinos in Malaysia are at the Tabin Wildlife Reserve in Sabah. The last of their species, they are in the constant care of The Borneo Rhino Alliance (BORA), who responsible in the ongoing fight to save the Sumatran Rhino in Malaysia from extinction.

According to a press statement from Malaysian Documentary Association (MyDocs), BORA has been working with advanced reproductive technology experts to produce a rhino embryo, a first for the Sumatran Rhino species. However, time is running out for the Sumatran Rhinos in Malaysia and BORA and they need financial help to sustain the project.

In September this year, National Geographic told the story of BORA and their mission to save Malaysia’s critically endangered Sumatran Rhino through the documentary ‘Operation Sumatran Rhino’. The film documents BORA’s quest to find all remaining Sumatran Rhinos in Malaysia and breed them before it is too late.

Hence, the Malaysian Documentary Association (MyDocs) are hosting a special Fundraiser for The Sumatran Rhinos of Malaysia and BORA as well as a Special Screening of Operation Sumatran Rhino.
