Cats FM is making changes to its programmes
In conjunction with its 20th celebration this year, local radio station Cats FM is implementing several changes to its programming.
Cats FM programme manager Aelma Zaidi said that this year is an exciting time for Cats FM as they have gone through two decades of existence yet continue to receive encouraging response from their listeners.
“Cats FM is fast building its content to suit the personality and music driven concept and to also integrate clients directly into its programming,” she said.
Primetime shows such as Antap Breakfast (6am to 10am), Rentak Ruai (2pm to 5pm) and Cats Drive Time (5pm to 9pm) every weekdays are more segmented to allow cusome content for their growing clients.
“We want to produce more exciting events and programmes for brands but at the same time we need to connect our listeners to these brands,” she added.
Aelma emphasised that brand new shows including #CatsMuzik and Cats Nite Out (9pm to 12am) are tailored to meet listeners’ changing lifestyles, while popular segment such as Loyar Pagi Tok, 7-Anntap and Coffee Talk are retained.
“Listeners have more music variety to choose from during the weekends with shows like Cats Weekend, Cats Rhythm, Sunday Cruise and late night non-stop music Cats Power Play with house deejays Dzul and Chacha,” said Aelma.
Cats FM listeners are also in for bigger treats as the radio station is still in their celebratory phase.
“As a continuation to our anniversary programmes with the listeners, we have many fun contests and games coming up including Bowling Competition, Movie Night Out and Picnic at the Beach,” she added.
