Sri Aman/Betong division to represent Sarawak at national level public speaking competition

Congratulations Sharizan Sarbini for coming in first place for the 1Malaysia Public Speaking Competition State Level 2016!
The winner who represented Sri Aman/Betong division will be representing Sarawak in the national level competition that will be held in Kedah this coming July.
Organised by the state information department, the competition saw seven participants from different divisions competing for first place.
Coming in second and third place is Khalid Husseine Tuah (representing Kuching/Samarahan/Serian division) and Martin Dinil (representing Miri/Bintulu division) respectively.
Other participants Muhamad Seburizal Said (representing Limbang division), Azizan Yussof (representing Kapit division), Arman Sahari (representing Sibu/Mukah division) and Amin Seer (representing Sarikei division) all nabbed consolation prizes.
With the theme ‘Sehati Sejiwa’ and an objective to strengthen the usage of national language and increase knowledge among the public through public speaking, this year marks the sixth time the public speaking competition is held.
Among the topics delivered by the participants for the public speaking competition were: Creativity and Innovation as a catalyst to the development of the country (Kreativiti dan Inovasi Pemangkin Kemajuan Negara), Empowering human capital towards a developed country (Memperkasa Modah Insan ke Arah Negara Maju), The people’s well being and welfare as the country’s main agenda (Kemakmuran dan Kesejahteraan Rakyat Agenda Utama Negara), Controlling the increment in the price of goods is a shared responsibility (Mengawal Kenaikan Harga Barang Tanggungjawab Bersama) and Independence creates a civilized nation (Kemerdekaan Membina Ketamadunan Bangsa).
Also present during the officiating ceremony on May 26th at the Pustaka Negeri Auditorium was Assistant Minister for Early Childhood Education and Family Development Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Gahazali, state information department director Abang Sardon Abang Hashim and Japri Bujang Masli of Pustaka Negeri Sarawak.
