AirAsia Badminton Academy names two new head coaches
KUALA LUMPUR, 4 MAY 2016 – National badminton legends Rashid Sidek and Rosman Razak will be the new Head Coaches for AirAsia Badminton Academy through a collaboration with Sports Affairs Academy.
The AirAsia Badminton Academy has trained over 250 players since it was established in 2012. Tommy Sugiarto who currently stands 9th in the Badminton World Federation world rankings and have qualified for the 2016 Rio Olympics; as well as Arif Latif, the Silver Medalist of the recent SEA Game for Badminton Singles have both joined the league of players who will be trained by the experienced coaches.

The AirAsia Badminton Academy training regularly organises special badminton clinics for the public as well as for AirAsia staff members. On top of sharpening their badminton skills, the clinics are also a platform to spot and identify up and coming talents to be trained and nurtured under the academy.
