A Purrrfect Night

I t was a purrrfect night when a huge turnout of music fans showed up for the fourth volume of #CATSDAYOUT at Godown Amphitheater, Kuching Waterfront last night (March 26).

CATS FM’s mini concert celebrated their 20th anniversary.

This is the fourth time CATS FM has organised #CATSDAYOUT since last year.

Starting off at 5 pm, the fun filled event showcased zumba dance, singing performances, lucky draws and games.

The highlight of the programme were the performances by local artists and indie bands as well as solo acts from various genres of music, who were also involved in the CATS Xposed project.

LimKokWing students was the first to perform that night

LimKokWing students were the first performers that night.

Dressed in their signature sleek and black attire, the first to perform during the night were LimKokWing Borneo students who kickstarted the night by performing ‘Pillow Talk’ by Zayn Malik.

Aside from that, students from Sidma college also made an appearance in support to the event by showcasing their singing talent.

Showing his talent in rapping was local talent, Asyraf Hardy, whose energy got the crowd riled up with his energetic performance and infectious rap lyrics.

Also performing was local talent Afif Tenor who charmed the crowd with his deep silky smooth voice by serenading the crowd with ‘Dilemma’ and getting them all hyped up when he sang popular Bollywood song ‘Janam Janam’ from the movie ‘Dilwale’.

Other artists who performed during the night included Iban songstress Karn Libau, Huza Tahir, rap band The Family Man and Adi Hamiz Johar.

According to CATS FM chief executive officer, Mohd Iskandar Mohd Nawawi, due to the overwhelming response, #CATSDAYOUT might be held outside Kuching in the future.

#CATSDAYOUT is part of the radio station’s exercise to get close to the community as well as providing an avenue for youths to socialize in a positive setting.

It also encourages local creative entrepreneurs to market their product and all fees collected will go to charitable body including SOS Kids.

Among the local entrepreneurs who participated in #CATSDAYOUT Volume 4 included Kuching Food Cartel, Chenta Ayu Beauty & Health, Goe.Geouzskinny & Buwang Pomade and Jovina Closet.
