NS training programme to hold Open Day in April
Members of the public are invited to participate and show their support to the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) Open Day at Putra Sentosa National Service (NS) training camp in Sematan from April 9 to 10.
The event organised by the National Service Training Department (JLKN) in collaboration with the National Service Volunteer Brigade (BSKN) and society of Putra Sentosa NS training camp aims at giving a clear picture and objective on PLKN and PLKN Transformation 2.0 and BSKN for a closer approach with the wider community and getting their support towards the PLKN 2.0 programme.
According to its press release, the objective of the PLKN Open Day is to introduce PLKN Transformation 2.0 to the public and give local people the opportunity to mingle with the National Service trainees.
“Apart from that, this programme also aims to foster the spirit of unity among the multiracial society and implement public trust in the PLKN 2.0 programme and the government.
“It is hoped that this programme will have a huge impact on society and culture of sport for a healthy and cheerful lifestyle,” it said.
This programme will also have support from government agencies to implement NS and the mutual understanding and cooperation between trainers and trainees under Zone J namely Putra Sentosa, Putra Permai, and Juara NS training camps.
Putra Sentosa NS training camp Open Day provides various activities and competitions for everybody: The activities include ‘Larian Jom Berekot’ fun run, singing performances, cultural dances, National Service exhibition, voluntary bodies and government agencies career and promotional activities, food and beverage sales, drawing and colouring competitions, karaoke competitions, futsal competition, sepak takraw competition, fancy dress competition, lucky draws, and the flying fox.
