Sidma College will see a much bigger convocation two years from now.

According to chairman and founder Dr Morni Kambrie, Sidma College will have more than 200 graduates in 2017.

There were 28 graduates for this year’s convocation held on Dec 5 at Merdeka Palace Hotel and Suites; 18 from Sidma College Sabah and the rest were from their Sarawak campus.

“In Sabah, we are running our Diploma in Childhood Education with two churches namely the Roman Catholic and SIB (Borneo Evangelical Church),” said Morni.

He said this year marked the college’s second convocation since it started its own programmes 2012.

Wholly-owned by Bumiputera, SIDMA College was first established in Sarawak back in 1998.

The college which is formerly known as Institut Pengurusan Dinamik Seminar, extended its operation to Sabah in 2002.

“When we first started, we had a joint relation with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak now known as UNITAR International University.”

Morni stated that SIDMA College’s Diploma in Early Childhood Education program is  fully accredited by Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

Their students are also eligible for PTPTN Education Loan to finance their studies.

“Do not stop here. Continue your studies and take your bachelor either in this field or management,” said Morni, encouraging the graduates to further their studies to degree level.

In its aim to produce knowledgable, skilful and competitive individuals, the college is committed to equip its students with quality knowledge and skills through its excellent learning facilities and educational support services.

Datuk Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud, wife to Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan delivered the graduation scrolls to graduates.
