Little stars will start singing for the Bintang Kecil title Nov 29
After its tremendous success last year, the ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan’ singing competition by RTM is now back again this year with new format that features more powerful finalists.
At a press conference held on November 21, RTM broadcasting director for Sarawak, Salmah Ibrahim Melina said that a total of 13 participants will camp out at the Youth & Sports Complex here to learn vocal techniques, stage performances, dance and recreation.
The finalists of ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ were the best among the best chosen throughout the country.
“To make it merrier this year, we will include the ‘Berambeh’ activities that will take place for three weeks at the complex starting November 21 to December 13,” she said.
Meanwhile, according to the producer of ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ Zaidi Bujang, the 13 finalists will have to compete in three concerts with the first concert to be held on November 29 and perform 90s songs. Four will be eliminated in the first round.
The second concert to be held on December 5 will feature songs from the 60s where three will be eliminated, leaving six finalists to compete at the grand final of ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ which will have an Aerospace and Robotic theme this December 13.
The 13 participants for ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ include Abdul Halim Hisamudin (Sarawak), Muhd Harris Mukhriz Haron (Sarawak), Salvia Rumpet (Sarawak), Chrisy Elvira Mathius (Sabah), Farhana Naslyn Suhailin (Sabah), Azizan Hajan (Sabah), Awangku Zaq Azmirul Awang Jamaludin (Kuala Lumpur), Hafi Danishalili Mohd Hafiz (Kuala Lumpur), Muhammad Danial Hafiz Mohamed Zaharim (Perak), Sharifah Alia Farisha Syed Azizi (Pahang), Muhammad Rizki Shukri Rosdi (Terengganu), Nurul Maimanah Abdul Qahar (Melaka), and Muhammad Amirul Haziq Rozi (Negeri Sembilan).
Patrick Khamis and Embat Lala will be their vocal instructors responsible for guiding all 13 participants throughout the competition.
The champion of ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ will walk away with the cash prize of RM15, 000, while first and second runner-ups will receive RM10, 000 and RM7, 000, respectively.
Meanwhile, consolation prize winners will receive RM3, 000, and winner of the Best Performance will take home a cash prize of RM1, 000, with a trophy each.
Participants eliminated in the first concert will receive cash prize of RM1, 000, while those who were eliminated in the second concert will receive cash prize of RM2, 000, each. All finalists will also receive certificate of participation.
The main sponsor for ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ is the Sarawak State Government, while other sponsors include DNC Asiatic Holdings Sdn Bhd (Demak), Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB), Coneli, Petra Enterprise, and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
Also attending the press conference were RTM Sarawak deputy director Jamel Seman, RTM TV Section assistant chief director Jamal Abdullah, RTM Radio Section assistant director general Faridah Sulong, ‘Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan 2015’ secretariat Zainoren Suut, and sponsors.
