Are you up for the Borneo Highlands Padawan Nature Challenge?

If you are both an enthusiast of nature and fitness, here is the perfect event for you.

Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) and Borneo Highlands Resort (BHR) are jointly organising the Borneo Highlands Padawan Nature Challenge for the eighth time.

Happening this Oct 25, the challenge includes a cycling and trekking adventure with competition categories for experts and amateurs.

During the press conference on Sept 9, MPP Chairman Lo Khere Chiang said the event surely would attract support from all run enthusiasts.

“There have been a lot of runs in Kuching. This event adds variety for runners,” he said.

Lo also hoped for more international runners to join the challenge this year.

He stated, “Every year there 280 to 300 participants attending this challenge. This year we are hoping the number of participation will increase.”

The competition offers five categories to compete in including MPP Chairman Challenge Trophy of a 10km cycling and 15km trekking, 15km Penrissen Summit Trekking Challenge, 10km Batu Panggah Trekking Challenge, 8km Borneo Highlands Run with men and women in different league.

Borneo Highlands Padawan Nature Challenge have lucrative cash prizes to offer the winners.

The highest cash prize of RM4,000 is up for grabs to the Champion of thr MPP Chairman Challenge Trophy.

All participants will be presented with a certificate of participation.

Open to all participants of 18 years old and above, the closing date for entries is on Oct 9 by 4pm.

Participants will collect their numbers and attend technical briefings at MPP on Oct 23 (Friday) from 10am to 3pm.

Participants must bring along their original identity cards or passports and receipts when collecting their numbers.

This run is organised to promote the interest for nature, adventure, sports, and healthy lifestyle to the general public and Padawan area as an eco-tourism tourism area.
