Monster Dash to kick off from iCom Square this year

The annual charity night run with zombies and monsters is back for its third year with new location and impressive lucky draw prizes.

This year, Monster Dash will kick off from iCOM Square, Jalan Pending on Oct 3 at 7pm for its 5km run.

According to organiser director and founder Dato Patrick Liew, Monster Dash is one of the most participated and well-liked events among the youth.

“Now we have more than 4,400 registrations, we are hoping to achieve 7,000 for this year’s Monster Dash,” he stated.

Speaking at a press conference on Sept 4, Liew mentioned: “We want to make it fun and enjoyable for everybody.”

He highlighted that this year the organisers were giving out finisher medals with tombstone-inspired designs for all runners for the first time.

“Voucher booklets will be given to every participant in which contains more than 20 merchants’ special promotion and discount,” he added.

Liew also announced that this year two charitable associations will benefit from this run namely Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) and Sarawak Kuching for Urban Poor (SKUP).

Catch Monster Dash this weekend, as the organisers are doing a final sprint of promotion at Open University Malaysia from 9am to 4pm and tHe Spring Shopping Mall from 10am to 10pm.

The registration fee is RM40 and closing date is on Sep 10 at 5pm. is also working with Soul Dance Management to create the biggest group dance in Kuching during the race.

Race Pack Collection Dates are on Sept 26 and 27 from 10am to 6pm at CityONE Shopping Mall.

Registered runners are advised to collect their race pack by printing and bringing their confirmation slips.
