916 foundation students take their oaths at Unimas

Nine hundred sixteen new students will be joining the Foundation for Life Sciences and Foundation for Physical Sciences programmes of at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas)
They are the lucky candidates took their oath at the higher learning institution on June 5 and will be absorbed into the bachelor degree programmes at several faculties in Unimas after a year according to their academic qualifications after graduating their pre-university studies.
The oath-taking ceremony was the highlight for the ‘Minggu Aluan Pelajar’ held at Unimas that ended on June 5. The welcoming week for new students provide them the opportunity for self-assessment on culture, work ethics and communication.
“As people of different races, students are urged to use the opportunity to forge bonds of friendship and know other students of different ethnicity, culture, ideology, politics, economic, and social standards from different states,” Unimas said in its press statement.
“With the diversity of backgrounds, students will surely enjoy their interaction, appreciate knowledge and life experience living with one another and thus can ensure the success of the 1Malaysia concept.”
