The weekend is always welcomed with open arms; not only is it the time for you to relax, it is also when families spend time together to do some catching up, and what better way to do it than over a weekly lunch.

Starting this March, Pullman Kuching is holding its Weekend High Tea at Puzzle Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 4pm, a perfect place for families and friends to hang out during the weekend.

With more than 50 types of delectable delights serving a spread of local and western food, you will be spoiled for choice.

For those who prefer local flavours, a wide spread of local vegetables or ulam ulaman kampong bersama perincah is also served.

For those who prefer savoury western food, you’ll be tempted by the aromatic smells of sautéed chicken sausage with onion and thyme, the grilled minute steak with herb butter and Penne with sausage ragout wafting over from the hot dishes station.

But for those who prefer local dishes, a massive selection of local lunch delights featuring Sarawak laksa and kolo mee will be prepared for you. Other local delights such as roti canai, mee jala, and chicken curry are also available to satisfy your local cravings.

In addition to this, diners might also want to try the cream of mushroom , crouton and cream side dishes or the sup ayam berempah -bawang goreng.

One of the main highlights for the Weekend High Tea, however, is the dessert station where those with sweet tooths get to indulge their taste buds by sampling a wide selection desserts and pastries.

Looking too pretty to eat, it is impossible for one not to be tempted to sample each sugary treat. For sweet lovers, don’t miss out on trying the hot croissant bread pudding with vanilla. Soft and creamy, it is the perfect treat for a weekend high tea.

Served in a shot glasses, I highly recommend for the assorted jellies since not only are they beautifully decorated, they are also sinfully satisfying. Sweet but not overly sweet, the bite-sized red velvet slice is also a must try item at the dessert station.
