Pullman Kuching chimes in Christmas cheer
IT’S ALREADY THAT TIME of the year again where we can go crazy with decorating the house and decking the Christmas tree with elaborate Christmas trinkets, singing ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ at the top of our voices while baking Christmas goodies.
On December 5, Pullman Kuching kickstarted the festive mood with their Christmas tree light up ceremony in the hotel lobby. For the joyful and cheery event, the light up ceremony was conducted by Santa and his Santarinas who marched into the hotel lobby and started handing out presents to the 40 children from Rumah Kanak-Kanak and the Salvation Army who were invited for the heartwarming event.
The children were also invited to participate in the gingerbread decorating session guided by Pullman Kuching’s chefs.
In addition to the light up ceremony and gingerbread decorating session, other highlights of the event was the life-sized Gingerbread House where members of the public are invited to make donations. Their donations will be displayed inside the house located next to the Christmas tree until December 25th, 2014.
Besides that, Pullman Kuching is also organizing a contest to guess the numbers of macaroons on the edible gingerbread house where any guest aged 18 and above with the minimum RM20 expenditure at any Pullman Kuching outlet is eligible to join.
The winner of the contest will bring home Nu Er Hong RM200 cash voucher and a two days one night stay at Pullman Kuching.
Asides from the exciting contest, the Gingerbread House also serves as a festive booth where guest can purchase goodies and pre order their Christmas takeaway which includes Chocolate Santa, Gingerbread men, Royal Yule Log and assorted Christmas cookies with prices ranges between RM10+ onwards.
The Christmas takeaways include a traditional turkey in Western flavour and Asian turkey in traditional Teo Chew flavour, which is a new signature dish from executive chef Koay Chee Ming.
Those interested in making a booking for a turkey are required to make their orders at least one day in advance. Both flavours are available at RM388+ per turkey.
Other Christmas takeaways include Australian Roasted Rib Eye (RM350+), slow roasted leg of lamb stubbed with garlic and rosemary (RM288+ per leg) and honey and clove glazed meat loaf (RM188+).
The Gingerbread House also received booking for Christmas Eve/Day and New Year Eve/Day at Puzzle with Christmas and New Year Eve buffet dinner priced at RM128+ per person, Christmas Day brunch and New Year Day brunch priced at RM79+ per person, Christmas Day and New Year Day buffet dinner at RM98+ per person.
All Christmas food and festive goodies will be featured during the festive buffet on top of other international dishes and local favourite.
