SSPCA charity gala dinner promises to be an exciting evening

The upcoming Charity Gala Dinner organised by the Sarawak Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) promises to be an exciting evening with an impressive list of performers taking centre stage to entertain its guests.

The gala dinner will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on October 24 with evening entertainment by Kuching’s own local jazz band Acoustic Connexion, Amir Yussof Project (Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur), Dasha Logan and Joanne Kam (both from Kuala Lumpur).

A multi-talented performer who is also involved in acting, radio host and show production, Joanne is expected to keep the guests in stitches with her acid tongue humor and raunchy costumes.

NOTORIOUSLY FUN: Joanne Kam is expected to showcase an awesome show at the SSPCA Charity Gala dinner.

Her scandalous jokes have earned her the reputation for being the most notoriously funny lady in the country.

Dasha Logan is a young, beautiful and a talented singer. Daughter to famous Alleycat vocalist, the late Loganathan Arumugam, Dasha has created a name for herself in the Malaysia music scene. Performing regularly in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, Dasha’s music is rooted in jazz.

Her singing is inspired by singers like Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, John Mayers, Esperanza Spalding and some of her dad’s rock heroes of the 70s and 80s.

Like Dasha, Acoustic Connexion music is also very much influenced by jazz tunes. A household name locally, Acoustic Connexion is regularly seen at corporate events in the city.
