Celebrate Malaysia Day in Crown Square’s photography contest
TO COMMEMORATE THE UPCOMING Malaysia Day, Crown Square is organising a photo contest called the ‘Malaysia Day Photo Hunt 2014’ to be held on Tuesday, September 16.
According to Building Supervisor of Crown Towers and Crown Square Tay Kien Hong, the contest is open to all Malaysians aged between 16 to 65 years old and it is only limited to 48 participants for easy supervision.
“These 48 participants will then be divided into 12 groups, 4 participants in a group, and each group need to have their own car, a camera and a memory card or device,” he said during a press conference held at Tempayan Restaurant in Crown Square today.
The entry fee is RM40 per head and each registered participants will receive 1 free cap, 1 free T-shirt and a dinner voucher on the event day.
On the day of the competition, participants are to gather in front of Crown Towers building by 1pm where there will be a briefing before the flag off at 2pm.
The format of the competition is to solve as many clues as possible, then submits the answers, all in digital format and labeled according to the clues numbering, on or before the closing time that is expected to be around 5.30 pm. All photos must be saved in one memory device only.
The group with the most correct answers will win the grand prize, meanwhile, in the event of a tie, the creativeness of the digital images will be used as the judging criteria.
“Lenovo smartphone worth RM600 each awaits four grand prize winners. Meanwhile, those in second and third placing will receive 1TB hard disk worth RM200 (four units) and Crown Square cash vouchers worth RM100 (four units) respectively. The winners will be announced that day,” Hong added.
After the prize presentations, a buffet dinner will be served at Nosh restaurant located in Crown Square and the event is expected to end at about 8.15pm.
Those who wish to participate need to register and pay the entry fee at Crown Square Event Planner office at 10th Floor of Crown Towers building in Pending and obtain the receipt on site. The office opens from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 9pm.
The competition is co-organised by Sarawak Photo-Art Society and Nosh restaurant and the closing date is on September 6.
