UiTM to debut three new bachelor’s degree programmes

KUCHING: Three new programmes are being introduced in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Samarahan this year including Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Quantity Surveying, and Bachelor in Business Administration (HONS) International Business.

According to UiTM Sarawak rector Prof Dato Dr Jamil Hamali, these latest additions will start in September. Another addition includes their Diploma in Halal Management which had started in June.

“With these new programmes, students will be able to master the required skills and knowledge needed for the prospected industries. As for Diploma in Halal Management which had 30 students for the first batch in June, they have learned to perform business activities as well as Halal certification,” he said when interviewed during his Hari Raya open house at Petra Jaya today.

As for UiTM Mukah Campus, two new programmes will also be implemented including, Diploma in Aquaculture and Diploma in Herbal Production, and are expected to start in 2015.

The intakes of the three new programmes for UiTM Samarahan will commence in September, with minimum entry qualifications of 5 credits in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). More details and information can be obtained from UiTM Sarawak official website at http://sarawak.uitm.edu.my.
