Talk on administrative service under Brookes and Colonial rule

Friends of Sarawak Museum (FoSM) will be presenting another talk in their series of Afternoon @ Museum this Saturday, July 5 at the ground floor of Textile Museum.

 

The one-hour talk entitled “Networking before Networking: The Sarawak Administrative Service under Brookes and Colonial Rule” will begin at 2pm, and it will discuss the Brooke style of administration, which was maintained by the succeeding colonial government.

 

Speaker Jayl Langub, a retired civil servant who has had years of research experience on indigenous people in Sarawak as well as in Sabah and East Kalimantan, will also briefly delve into the charismatic personalities of some administrators.

 

The talk that will be in English is open to public with limited seating while parking is available at Merdeka Plaza.
