A poem for Flight MH370

By George Wong

An airliner
With two thirty-niner

Flew into the night
Suddenly everyone sat tight

Where is the plane?
The answer is not plain

It’s been a mystery
For many government ministry

The hours ticked by
Many may have missed their proper goodbye?

How we wish, we pray
They would show up to their loved ones and play
The fun they always share

What will become
Of the outcome
If no one is found
No, nothing is impossible to be not found

Persistent is the Spirit
Yes it may be their Spirit
Oh, what a Spirit
The two thirty nine
Let everyone benign

Let the two thirty nine
Show the world
What the world
Need to care and mind

Yes, the Spirit of the two thirty nine
Be the light that bring the world to not destroy with bombs or mines

Be like the Spirit of the Nations
That come together with one intention
To find Flight three seventy
To come back to certainty

The fate of two thirty nine
Be the Spirit that bind
All the various nations
That seek with one intention

Let their Spirit continue
To bring all nations to renew
Their common goals
To be their guide for all

At 10pm March 24, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced that the flight path of the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean.

He made the announcement following the never-used-before analysis by the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and Inmarsat, the UK company which provided the satellite data which indicated the northern and southern corridors.
