KUCHING: For one whole month, starting Dec 10 – Jan 7, 2014, members of the public – the little ones  – will be able to test drive the i-MiEV (Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle) at the Petrosains Dino Trek 2 exhbit, Sarawak Museum.

The i-MiEV is part of an educational programme called ‘e-Heroes Mission’ by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) in partnership with Petrosains Sdn Bhd and was officially launched on Dec 11 at the Sarawak Museum.

This programme is aimed to promote Electric Vehicle awareness and eco-friendly practices towards a greener earth among young Malaysians.

“e-Heroes encompasses all – Electric, Energy, Environment and Earth. This is what this program is essentially about- offering electric car fun rides to kids to promote awareness on ways kids can play its part to create an eco-friendlier future,” said Tetsuya Oda, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

Apart from riding the i-MiEV, children are encouraged to take part in activities such as colouring, origami, mini science shows and workshops at selected hours.

Mitsubishi e-Heroes was started back in Kuala Lumpur in August last year and continued in Terengganu, Johor Bahru and recently in Kota Kinabalu.

Admission is free to test ride the i-MiEV and the exhibition will be open from 9.00am-4.45pm on weekdays and 10.00am-4.00pm on weekends.
