Making it into the Borneo Talent Award finals

SIBU: Some 30 semi-finalists gave all they had to get into the finals of the prestigious annual Borneo Talent Award (BTA) at Sibu Civic Centre on Saturday.

The finals were held last night.

The annual event, organised by Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) with its main sponsor Farley, was open to Malaysians of any age.

It was an evening to remember as contestants strutted their talent be it singing, dancing, musical instrument, magic show, mimic show, cross talk, pantomime or acrobatics.

Judging was based on creativity, artistic skills, presentation, choreography and uniqueness.

The four awards given out were Talent of the Year — Borneo Talent Award, The Most Popular Talent Award, The Most Entertaining Talent Award and Special Talent Award.

The main award (Talent of the Year — Borneo Talent Award) winner stands to receive a trophy and RM5,000 cash.

The Most Popular Talent Award and Most Entertaining Talent Award is a trophy and RM1,000 cash.

The audience will get to vote in the final judging for The Most Popular Talent Award.

Seven winners of The Special Talent Award will each receive a trophy and RM500 cash.
