Time to do community service and ‘Jom Heboh’

KUCHING: It was a breath of relief for Hamdiah Ramli of Kampung Lintang when TV3, through their community service, repaired her house which was damaged a by thunderstorm on Thursday last week.


The event was part of TV3’s programme held in conjunction with the ‘Jom Heboh’ carnival being held at the Stadium Negeri parking lot from today until tomorrow (Sunday).


A total of RM13, 000 was allocated for repairwork, including painting and replacing the roofs of Hamdiah’s house, where she had lived for over 40 years.


The 60-year-old Hamdiah, whose husband passed away in 2005, lives at the house with two of her children who are already married.


Among TV3 celebrities present were Aidid Marcello, Maria Tunku Sabri, Zakiah Anas and Siti Hasfiza Aswaty Sabjahan.


The event was attended by Media Prima Berhad Group Sharing Service chief executive officer Datuk Kamal Khalid. Samariang assemblywoman Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali who represented Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg was also present.


The annual ‘Jom Heboh’ carnival starting today until tomorrow will feature exciting booths such as ‘Cereka’, Studio 3, Banana!, Wanita Inspirasi and Wow! Bag Booth.


The carnival will also feature live and recorded of several TV3 programmes such as Sembang Sembang, Al Kuliyyah, and Melodi while the highlight of the carnival will be the ‘Konsert Jom Heboh’ which will feature artiste such as Adira, Dayang Nurfaizah, Mas Idayu and Jaclyn Victor.
