CyberSecurity Malaysia chief operating officer Zahri Yunos will be the speaker at the talk held from 2.30pm to 4pm at the auditorium of the university.

The talk entitled ‘Malaysia’s National Cyber Security Policy: An Integrated Approach for Cyber Security and Critical National Information Infrastructure Protection’ is organised by Curtin Sarawak’s School of Business.
Zahri will be highlighting Malaysia’s experience in implementing the National Cyber Security Policy (NCSP) which has been designed to address emerging cyber threats and facilitate Malaysia moving towards a safer and more secure environment.
Cyber space is a virtual space that has become as important as the physical space for social, economic and political activities, he noted.
The number of threats is also increasing every day with the Critical National Information Infrastructures (CNII) as the main targets. Thus, a comprehensive master plan is required to effectively address cyber security issues.
Zahri who holds a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from University Technology Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey USA has wide experiences on cyber security.
He is also an Associate Business Continuity Professional certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute International, USA.
